Old Halt, New WEST

( More Old Signs )

As the formal change takes place with the Halt truly becoming WEST on the Corner it has , fleetingly, uncovered the old exterior. This is going to go very soon as the windows are extended. One of the larger windows is already in place on the Park St side.

I had a chance to look inside and , with the new floor in place, opens up to a different but nice and large clear space. Except of course the "curse" of all similar Glasgow bars , what to do about the roof supports that always end up in the most inconvenient place.

Update 21st August

Is someone going to tidy all that soggy paper up.

Update August 23rd August
So Glasgow Subway are going to leave the signs. Will the concerned people now protest over the other sign that changed 2 months ago or the older anti climb spikes. If this argument had been about accessibility to the station rather than styling it may have been useful.
Isnt this lovely , the way it was for months with no complaints.

Call me cynical but i dont think most of the complaints come from people who actually use the station.

I was concerned that the original images were so low res. that i wasnt making out the details but i think they just filled in the outlines with red in this later sign. The text and images should be a red colour i think,same as the Taylors, but i have no reference so filled in for later.
