The Star Bar, Laurieston and Georgic have shelves of books that the pub goers were reading and sharing amongst themselves. Local bars providing a service. ( Also in Bay Horse Pollokshaws Road )

I remember going by this bar as a kid to my grans and thinking this was just roughcasting on the outside. How very wrong i was.

What a great wee bar. Another addition to the table hall of fame along with the Three Judges and Ben Nevis. Spaces under the table for a paper. ( I think the Laurieston has this as well ). Make sure the slope on the way to the Gents doesnt catch you out.
